About Michoacán

Situated on the Pacific Ocean in western Mexico, the state of Michoacán is known for its beauty as well as its history and culture. The population of the state is 4,400,000 and only 3% of the population believes in Jesus Christ as Lord. There are many communities with populations in the thousands without a Christian church. Michoacán is the highest producer of immigrants to the United States and is also one the states of Mexico with much violence related to organized crime involving drug cartels, vigilantes, and police. Although there are many problems in this region of the world, God is doing an amazing work through His church, giving testimony of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Thank you for praying for Michoacán.

Call to Ministry

Tanto was called to missions in 2002 after God spoke to him the night of his friend’s suicide. “You will preach the Good News to the Nations.” His life was fully surrendered to Jesus Christ. In 2003 he graduated from the Horizon School of Evangelism and has been a missionary ever since serving in Haiti, El Salvador, Mexico, and the USA. He graduated from Horizon University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theological Studies.

Cinthya prepared for cross cultural missions in Aguascalientes, Mexico where she served with the Huichol Indians. With her desire to serve people she studied Psychology and graduated in 2009. She loves counseling and leading people to the Lord. She is raising Caleb and Asher in the ways of the Lord full time.

Current Missionary Work

With their ministry teams they have started 3 churches in cities where there was never a Christian church. Local believers are now leading these established ministries. Tanto and Cinthya’s desire is raise up and train people to do the work of the ministry all over the world. Tanto teaches evangelism, theology, and other practical ministry classes in a World Missions Institute and a Theological Seminary in the city of Morelia. Students from different parts of Mexico come to these two institutions to be trained for effective ministry. Tanto and Cinthya work together to build up the body of Christ in many churches across Michoacán and Mexico through teaching, preaching, and evangelism.

Thank you for being part of their team!
